Work-in-progress. A hybrid film, a Western Documentary about personal and national identity through the story of two 'gauchos' (rural men) descendants of Danish immigrants in Argentina and how one day they cross their paths by chance and start a special friendship. Oriente is a little town of 1.700 inhabitants in the Argentinian pampas, 700 km Southeast from the city of Buenos Aires. No one knows precisely why the town was called like that. Originally 'Oriente' is an old term coming from Latin to refer to the East, where the sun comes out and the day begins. Produced by Sidsel Lønvig Siersted & Good Company Pictures, Denmark.
